As we are now heading in to the easing of restrictions, there will be some things we need to highlight as areas of importance for ALL staff part of the firstcall HEALTH team.

It is crucial that you have a copy of your Influenza vaccination details at every shift. The site may refuse entry should you not have this with you. We are finding there are a lot of staff asking for copies to be sent to them whilst they are on their way to work which we most definitely don’t mind doing however, as we are not working out of the office every day after the hours of 7pm this can be an issue if we are being asked quite late in the evening.  It would be advisable to keep a photo on your phone at all times in the event you do not have the physical copy. Otherwise ideally, the pocket which your ID badge sits in has ample space for you to keep the details in, should you not have a pocket with a lanyard attached please let us know and we can organise to have one sent to you ASAP. Alternatively, as the office is open by appointment only we can organize for you to pick up anything you need such as a book, badge or uniform.

Docket books, ID badges and ensuring you are in uniform all also very important to remember when accepting and confirming to work a shift. Clients will provide us with this feedback if our staff are not adhering to this standard compliance. Now more than ever, it is important that identification of who is onsite is visible at all times hence why we are emphasizing this point as much as possible.  If you wish to discuss this feel free to contact us any time.

It is wonderful to see the activity within the community increasing and we are also glad there are some staff beginning to place availability after site restrictions also being lifted by some facilities. We understand how difficult it has been for some facilities until now as they are only trying to protect all residents, patients and staff. Please do ensure you are keeping us updated should your availability change or if you are unavailable for the week also send us a text or advise us through the many different portals of placing availability, website, app, email admin@firstcallhealth.com.au, text 0458540101 or simply by phoning. Our retention processes are improving therefore to ensure your file doesn’t go on hold it is important you are keeping us updated with any changes to your availability on a weekly basis.

Thank you to all of our wonderful and dedicated staff, it has been the most difficult year for all and we hope that you continue to remain with us into 2021. Our planning is already underway for next year and I am confident in saying that there will be only more work heading our way in a number of different areas of health as well as geographical locations.

Sending positivity and warm thoughts to you all as we head into a new year with hopefully only positive outcomes for firstcall HEALTH which we can share with all of you xxx
