Hi Everyone,

We hope you are keeping safe and positive during these challenging times.

Please ensure you are checking the members page regularly for updated communications. As you know the exposure sites have increased so pls ensure you are regularly checking the link below and advise the agency immediately should you have frequented any of these sites, are a known close contact or have been contacted by DHHS. Please ensure you follow the health advice and do not go to work until returning a negative result or isolating if that is the advice given.

Please send through your vaccination details if you have received the COVID vaccine. It is your choice to be vaccinated however, as per the commonwealth’s announcement no staff will be allowed to attend RACS Residential Aged Care past the 17th September unless you have received your first injection. Should it become mandatory at any of the sites we are currently sending you and you choose not to be vaccinated we will unfortunately not be able to offer you work at those sites.

Being the industry we are in, the understanding we have is that it is encouraged all healthcare workers should be vaccinated to protect the most vulnerable. We do ask that you do all you can to ensure the safety of yourselves, the patients/residents you are caring for and all of the people you come into contact with at all times.

Please see our latest communications online regarding vaccinations.

As Regional is also in lockdown, you will need to ensure you have a work permit with you at all times as well as your ID badge and docket book. You are all essential workers so please do not feel you would be breaking the rules.

We hope you are all staying as positive as you can during this time, we are available to speak with at all times in the event you wish to reach out. We can and will get through this. Stay safe everyone
