By now everybody would have received the communication around things being a little quiet at the moment. We do still require you to place your availability weekly and keep us up to date should there be any changes. You can do so via the app or website, email or even phoning through if you wish. Things will pick up, it is just a matter of time. We have applied for the JobKeeper payment and discussed this with individuals eligible for this. If you believe you are eligible please let us know as we can discuss this with you further and advise accordingly. So please do continue to advise when you are available. The reintroduction of elective surgery this week should assist in the increase of activity within the community therefore we should begin to see some requests needed for a number of different reasons. We know this is a testing time and it is for us all but rest assured we are doing all we can and are certain we will be continuing to have shifts available for all of you very soon. As already advised we are continuing to recruit because we do believe that when it picks up we will require each and every one of you as well as new recruits. Our recruitment continues all year round because we find that we do require the additional staff if not right away then certainly in the near future post recruitment.

In the meantime, this is an ideal time to increase CPD and any additional requirements that have been outstanding on your file but you have not had time to attend to. Our staff are emailing and contacting all staff with what requirements need updating. If your status has changed and you don’t require agency work at the moment or simply can’t work right now please send us an email at admin@firstcallhealth.com.au and we can place your file either on hold or temporarily inactive until you are ready to resume working.

A reminder that if you have not had your Influenza Vaccination by the 1st May and sent through your documentation to evidence this we will not be able to accept any availability from you or offer you any work. Please ensure you are responding to any follow ups made to this effect and keep us up to date as to when you intend to have this done.

Finally, please stay safe, positive and healthy. We will get through this together and come out much stronger. If there is anything you wish to discuss or just need to know somebody is there to listen during this difficult time we are here. Support at a time like this is so important for us all.
