Education and CPD
Ongoing education is so important and at First Call Health we want to ensure that every staff member has the best options available to them when it comes to courses available. First Call Health are offering a number of online education courses. Not just mandatory ongoing education but a number of additional training courses which are very affordable and could be of interest to all as well as relevant to other areas of work you may be in or pursuing at the moment.
The following courses can be made available for you, please contact education@firstcallhealth.com.au for information around how to access these and the cost:
- Administration of Medication for Carers & Support Staff
- Aged Care Quality Standards
- Care Planning
- Caring for a Person with a Tracheostomy
- Dementia Awareness
- Diabetes Management
- Epilepsy Awareness
- Equality & Diversity
- Gastrostomy (PEG) Feeding
- NDIS – Worker Orientation Module
- Nutrition in the Person with Complex Needs
- Paediatric BLS
- Parkinson’s Disease

Further to the above online courses, we are in the process of putting together a calendar of events which cover courses available in ALL areas where we have staff geographically. So we will not be expecting you to travel to Geelong if you live in Dandenong to do a first aid course.
These organisations are reputable and affordable and we believe will be well worth booking in to do your course. We can organise to do this for you as well if that is something you require.
As the easing of restrictions continue in the next month, we will also be offering practical courses for several mandatory competencies and non-mandatory competencies through educators at venues organised by First Call Health.
We hope you are all well and keeping safe! Firstcall HEALTH team
