A note from the Director….
Good Afternoon Everyone, obviously this is a very difficult time of concern for all and I wanted to take this opportunity to provide you with some information as to where we sit in this current situation. First Call Health are taking all appropriate precautions across the board for the best interest of ALL staff, patients, residents and other healthcare workers you are coming into contact with on shift. I can assure you that we as a business continue to have work to offer at this stage and will do our best to ensure everybody who is making themselves available is being offered appropriate shifts. There is an abundance of communication going out to all staff via many communication portals and we ask that you do take the information being given very seriously. We are keeping as up to date as possible across every new press release and ensuring we pass this information on to you. I will post the link we are using to stay as up to date as we are down below. Can I ask that you do work with us in keeping your communication with us very clear about any symptoms you may have or if you travelled or come in to contact with anybody who potentially could be at risk or has tested positive. Your health and well being is our first priority and we do not want to put you or anybody else at further risk of spreading this virus any further. This feedback also includes if you arrive to a shift and there are confirmed cases please contact the agency immediately. We are not sending you in to facilities where there is possibly infected patients without you being made aware and it is then your choice to accept or decline. Unfortunately sometimes when the requests are coming through the facility may not be aware as this is how quickly the situation is evolving across the board at all sites.
We have communicated various updates on the importance of correct use of PPE and hand hygiene. We are also offering an online course via our education portal specifically on COVID-19. Please see recent posts explaining this further. We are continuing our communication with our clients and we ask that you follow the appropriate compliance measures such as signing declarations or appropriate documentation prior to commencing a shift at some facilities/hospitals. This is to ensure the safety of all staff, residents, visitors and contractors entering these facilities so please do understand this is an important measure applied for various reasons.
We will get through this stronger than ever but please rest assured we are working round the clock to ensure that the work continues to be offered for you all as well as to ensure we are providing you with the most up to date and relevant feedback. Should you wish to discuss any areas of concern please contact us on 1300984400 and we can organise to have these conversations with the most relevant people.
Finally please stay safe, follow the appropriate instructions and measures being given with your health and safety being of utmost priority at all times.
Regards, Angela Zulumovski – Director, firstcall HEALTH
