To all of our dedicated staff, we hope you are having a wonderful week.  We do need to raise some concerns we have about availability at the moment.

There appears to be a growing number of staff placing availability and either not responding or taking themselves off once a shift is being offered to them.  There equally seems to be a number of people withdrawing from shifts once they have been confirmed for a number of different reasons.  We do understand that things happen and sometimes it is completely out of your control however it is not acceptable to be sending a text or email overnight and not making an attempt to actually phone in to the office and speak to one of our allocations staff who are available all the time.  So please ensure that if for some reason you are unable to do your confirmed shift, if it’s during business you are to phone the office, if it is out of business hours which for us are 5am to 11pm Monday to Sunday then you can send a text or email however you are required to speak to someone when the office next opens.  There are a number of reasons for this and we need to ensure the reasons why you are no longer able to work, for example if you are advising you are unwell we as an agency need to be made aware of your symptoms and whether a medical clearance is required based on these symptoms.

Our largest problem area of lack of availability at the moment is in the Geelong, Surf Coast and Bellarine areas which is a first for us as we have never seen this level of issue in this area. Can you please ensure that you are contacting us weekly through the many ways available to place your availability. We do also need to know if you are picking up work elsewhere to ensure if you are we do not offer you work at that same site. Communication with our staff is key to ensuring we are able to function at the highest quality standard and we need each and every one of you to work with us in order for this to be achieved.

Should you have any level of concern or wish to discuss this further please feel free to contact 1300984400, or email admin@firstcallhealth.com.au and someone will be available to discuss this with you at length. Please also be aware we have an online chat option available via our home page of our website (bottom right hand corner) so please feel free to contact us anytime.
